Baby & toddler exercise class that introduces little ones to running and encourages exercise and motor skill development through play!
About this event
Those Runner Kids introduces children to various skills to get them moving in a fun way! The kids are instructed through various running activities that promotes cardiovascular health, endurance, and strength. They also work on motor skills, balance, coordination, agility and more. All skills are presented through play and games!
Expect music, bubbles, an obstacle courses, races and more.
This class is specially for younger children, from walkers to age 3-4, making it a great mommy-and-me to meet other parents while working on toddler’s gross and fine motor skills and more.
Class is led by coach Lauren, a certified personal trainer with a youth fitness specialty, and certified running coach. She also is CPR and First Aid certified.
Class is 45-minutes long, and includes various games and activities that work on the following skills:
- Gross and fine motor skills
- Spatial awareness
- Social and emotional skills
- Preschool readiness (shapes, colors, numbers)
- Listening skills and following directions
- Self-confidence and independence
Class is designed for siblings to also be able to participate and skills are regressed and progressed based on age and skill level.
This class is indoors, in a clean and open space located at Speech Language Associates office space. There is a private room for nursing mothers.
This option includes 5-weeks worth of classes at a discounted rate (usually $25 per class).
Classes start Nov. 17 and end Dec. 15. There will be a 2 week winter break, then classes resume in January and will be offered in a separate registration.
COVID precautions are in place including social distancing and low contact activities. All equipment is sanitized after each class. Hand sanitizer will be on hand and kids are required to bring their own water.
$25 per class
