Our speech language pathologists are licensed professionals who work with individuals to address delays/disorders of speech, language, communication and swallowing. Our Occupational Therapists are able to support many adults and children with fine motor and sensory needs. Our Audiologists are licensed professionals who work with individuals addressing auditory processing and hearing needs.

Our Approach

We approach every communication challenge by designing a resolution tailored for each specific individual and their families. We believe everyone can communicate, it’s a matter of time, finding the right tools, the right teacher, and developing the right environments. We don’t give up. We are open to alternate methods and solutions. Our goal is that every client reaches their full potential of being a confident and courageous communicator.

Our Methods

We have a team of Speech Language Pathologists certified in the Hanen Method, LAMP and AAC as well as advanced training in American Sign Language (ASL) .

The Hanen Method is a supportive approach focused on working with parents and care givers to give them the skills that empower them to foster the early language and social communication development of young children.
The LAMP Method or Language Acquisition through Motor Planning is a therapeutic approach based on neurological and motor learning principles. The goal is to give individuals who are nonverbal or have limited verbal abilities a method of independently and spontaneously expressing themselves in any setting. While this approach was initially developed to give nonverbal individuals with autism a means of communication, it can be adapted to benefit individuals with a variety of disabilities.
AAC or Augmentative and alternative communication encompasses a method of communication using speech generating devices and apps to supplement or replace speech or writing for those with impairments in the production or comprehension of spoken or written language. This goes hand in hand with the LAMP Method
ASL or American Sign Language has been found to be not only beneficial for the hard of hearing/deaf individual but is often times beneficial for an individual with special needs. Special needs children are very unique and they have their own pace in understanding and responding. Many special needs individuals are visual learners. Using ASL in addition to speech therapy enhances their ability to get the meaning or sense of a word.
