What is Teletherapy?
Teletherapy is using technology to the deliver speech language pathology and audiology professional services while the clinician and client are at different locations. Speech Language Associates uses Doxy.me a secure telemedicine, HIPAA compliant, platform to provide these services.
Is Teletherapy effective?
Teletherapy has been used to evaluate and treat people of all ages. Researchers have found few differences between Teletherapy and in-person services. Most clients who receive Teletherapy services say that they are very satisfied.
What do I need to be able to receive Teletherapy?
If you are located in the state of New Jersey, have a good internet connection and a device with a speaker and camera, we can connect with you to provide services most speech and audiology services. We will evaluate each potential client to determine if their needs can be met via a Teletherapy approach.
Will insurance cover Teletherapy?
Each insurance company individual policy has different benefits. You should contact your insurance carrier to determine if they offer teletherapy benefits.
